Welcome to Second Grade at St. Joseph School
There are three second grade classes at St. Joseph School. Second grade students build community within our classroom, with our grade level peers, and with the greater St. Joseph community.
2A~Ms. McLaughlin
Ms. McLaughlin enjoys the enthusiastic interest second graders take in good books and every topic from weather to world cultures. 2A students work collaboratively with teachers and volunteers to celebrate and deepen their faith, explore literacy, construct math knowledge and explore this amazing scientific and social world. Grace McLaughlin is a Seattle native and has learned about parenting by steering her almost grown son towards adulthood.
2B~Mrs. Ambuske & Mrs. Hollingshead
Mrs. Ambuske and Mrs. Hollingshead jobshare in 2B. In addition to having fun, students and teachers strive to love learning, life, each other, and God in 2B. Mrs. Ambuske has 3 children and Mrs. Hollingshead has 1 baby boy. Each teacher grew up in the Seattle area.
2C~Mrs. Guerra
Mrs. Guerra has been part of the St. Joseph community since her wedding 25 years ago! Her 5 children were all baptized in the parish. Mrs. Guerra works to create a class full of wonder and harmony, with a solid foundation in the skills needed to succeed. She centers the 2C day around prayer and creative involvement in faith and service.
